Well, i wouldnt suggest a large dog because i find it to be rather cruel because they need places to run...but usually pommeraniains make nice pets however they shed hair alot... alot of people have Shitzu's, umm even a maltese makes an ice inside dog...maltese's are very personable too :)

Go to akc.org it gives you a run down of each dogs traits. Once you narrow it down go to the library and learn as much as you can. Most books will tell you the ups and downs of each breed. If you think youve found your dog find people who own that breed through the internet or local dog park, etc and spend some time with them. Dont talk to the breeder who is just trying to sell a dog. Everyone thinks there dog is the best. I have a black lab who is great for me but for someone who hates dog hair EVERYWHERE or collects expensive breakables she would not be the dog for them. If you dont need a purebred check out some shelters. They have a big variety to chose from and they usually take care of the shots and fixing them. Any dog, regardless of size can be a good inside dog with plenty of walks and play time.

any dog would be a fine inside dog. I have a beagle that is good inside my retriever is a good inside dog and both of my pit bulls make great inside dogs. It just depends on the way you train them if you walk them or what every dog needs exercise and if they have that will be good inside the house plus would u like sleeping in the cold just because your big?

Chihuahuas are hard to potty train. But Schnauzers are really excellent inside dogs. They are smart, learn fast and are clean. (not a lot of grooming) Others might be a Yorkie or Maltese.

All breeds do well inside. They are pack animals and want to be with their families.

Do you mean a dog that doesn't shed, or doesn't take up a lot of room, or who is relatively calm?

All of them...sorry, but you asked. All dogs should be household members and live inside of the home.

All dogs make great indoor dogs, all dogs should be indoors with their human "packs". It just depends on your lifestyle and what you want in a dog.
