When I have a cigarette at home (outside of course) my folks will still say I shouldn't be smoking eventhough I'm 23 now. I still do but I get pissed off by the nagging.

Used to be really anti smoking until I was 18 - and even nagged my girlfriend to give up but then started smoking myself. Strange how things work out!

i think that your parents are always going to be concerned about you, they love you and don't want to see harm to come to you even though you know the effects of smoking. i think you just have to see it from their point of view!

Smoking kills ... often slowly & painfully.

Why don't you read up about the many ways that smoking shortens life, the many diseases smokers suffer from, the painful shortened lives they lead etc. etc.

I think the lung cancers are probably the most disgusting, as it must feel like drowning.

And its addictive, so very hard to stop.

Strange how things work out.

No, my grown ADULT kids do. I know you resent hearing people preach anti-smoking, (I do as well -- especially NON-smokers), but really consider that they are right. I really wish that I could... after you have smoked for over 30 yrs. you can really feel ill effects on your health, and are in very bad position with no money/ health insurance, scared about whats coming. So my suggestion would be, you are young, AND CAN DO IT, quit for yourself,-- not someone else, save rebellion for another purpose.

I used to nag my dad about smoking, so I certainly would nag my adult kid.
