You skipped way too many steps.
First, there was the telegraph, which allowed humans to communicate with each other over long distances using batteries, wire, and electromagnets.
Our buddy Alexander Ghraham bell upgraded the telegraph concept to include the much higher bandwith of spoken audio using a suspended wire in a cup of acid, which converted audio into electrical signals.
Now during experiments with electricity, it was discovered that a spark-gap coupled to a coil of wire induced an electric current in a wire at a distance WITH NO CONNECTION. It was like magic. So when they discovered that spark gap induced RF could be "received" accross the room, they kept experimenting. Soon the "radio" was adapted to radio telegraphy, which was a system in long standing, so the discovery of RF allowed data transmission without the wires of telegraphy.
The phone industry was now in full effect as was the phone. The spark gap evolved into a continuous wave transmitter using rotating RF generators. These combined RF (radio frequency energy) with telegraphy and telephony to make ship-to-shore communication possible. So there were inventions in place at the time of RF discovery which made radio possible. Let us not forget our Friend DeForest, who discovered that signal amplification was possible in a vacuum. Edison had invented the AC rectifier in a light bulb years before, but could not apply it to anything. Once the tube was invented and signals could be amplified, the communications industry took off like a rocket, and telecom and radio blossomed in the early 1920's. The military (WW1 and WW2) also made huge headway in electronics and communications, inventing FM, superheterodyne RF amplifiers, Radar, etc.

The Radio was invented by Mrconi. He constructed a transmitting station somewhere on the coast of Europe and a receiving station somewhere on the coast of Canada or US. Then the first signals that were transmitted from Transmitter was picked up at the receiving station.

You create a source of radio waves and a receiver to prove the feasibility.
Tesla did a lot of early work on radio waves. Then in 1896, Marconi was awarded the British patent 12039, Improvements in transmitting electrical impulses and signals and in apparatus there-for, for radio. In 1897 he established the world's first radio station on the Isle of Wight, England.

Tesla invented the radio. He even made remote controlled boats in the 1880's. When Marconi made his radio he infringed on 19 of Tesla's patents. Marconi was original awarded the radio patent but Congress overturned that in the 1940's. Tesla was not a business man but was a pure inventor.

Hi. They were invented together to utilize the aforementioned RF spark. Marconi had a station set up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The antenna was huge but it worked.

This crazy Italian, Marconi , made both the transmitter and and the receiver
The patent office said it was impossible so he couldn't patent it.
Shorty after he made one that could transmit across the Atlantic
It turned out to be pretty useful.

well scientist knew of radio waves, and created a device which could pick up different frequencies. Eventually radio stations were created and they just needed to tune the radio so that it can pick up that particular frequency

around 100MHz. Ten to the what? All I bear in mind is that the wavelength in ft is 1004 divided with the help of the freq in megahertz. As this grew to become into in antenna shape the fee element could not be blanketed.

I would guess it started with CB radio's and then someone got a good idea. But I dont know either, good question!
