Irish setter.

I grew up with two purebred Irish setters from champion lines. My uncle won the first, Shane, in a poker game with the breeder. When the breeder wanted another game to win him back, he lost the other, Clancy.

They are great big clowns, and are utterly wonderful with children. All of my childhood memories have these dogs, and I'll always have a soft spot for them.

I've been fortunate enough to have owned so many wonderful dogs. My favorite breed would have to be the Norwegian Elkhound though all because of one sweet little pup. I had never even heard of the breed (all the dogs I had growing up were mixed rescued dogs so I didn't know much of anything about breeds), but when I saw this sweet little bundle of fluff in a pet store, my heart just melted. Of course, getting a dog at the pet store is not exactly the smartest way to go (complete ignorance on my part), but she stole my heart away. Her loyalty and goofy personality will always be a highlight of my life. She sparked my interest in the breed and the more I read about them, the more I love this breed.

I used to love all dogs until I became a meter reader. After a few bites I didn't really like them anymore.

Despite that, I will have to say a Chihuahua is my favorite dog. I own two of them. They are little and cute. They have this big attitude inside of this little body. They are just adorable. I have always had a Chihuahua since I have been little. It's the only breed of dogs that my Mom would allow in the house.

If any breed of dog is most deserving of the title Noble with Natural Beauty then that dog is the German Shepherd.

He is a dog with elegant yet flowing lines, glamorous to behold, with a shining coat, erect ears, and an intelligent expression that will command attention wherever he is seen. His eyes indicate the love and affection he has for those who care for him and his sweeping tail will show his mood whether it be gay or sad.

He has a keen sense of humor and enjoys playful games yet, in defense of those he loves, can become a frightening adversary that one would be well advised to keep clear of. He can fit into a flat or a mansion as the need may be, for he is happy wherever you are happy.

I like Labrador and Golden retrievers. They are just good dogs, friendly, family oriented, playful and protective. The first dog I had was a little terrier mix, she was awesome. But later we had a Golden and now have a black lab, who still lives with my parents. He is the sweetest, gentlest dog I know. My husband and I are getting a Golden for Christmas.

Golden Retrievers! We've had 2, our second one (Dillon) is now 14 years old. They are the most loyal, intelligent, loving, obedient, trainable breed there is. Their tails are always wagging and they always seem to have a smile on their face and a twinkle in their eye. We just love them.

Great Dane. When I was younger there was a great dane that lived around the corner and I was just amazed at the size and friendliness. Ever since, I've just always wanted one, read books about them. Finally got one, and I love her. She is the BEST ever. She is so human-like and sweet!
