1. Hair dressers: If I tip 2 dollars for a 12 dollar haircut, how much do I tip a $100 haircut in a more posh salon? do they expect the same percentage?
2. How much to tip taxi drivers?
3. Do I tip my massage therapist (in a clinic, not a spa) and physiotherapist?
4. How much to tip the person who does facial? Do I pay tips at the counter or hand it to the beautician directly?

Here's what I usually do for good service:
1. Hair dressers: 20-25% regardless of the fee.
2. Taxi drivers: 1 dollar for every $5
3. Message: In a spa yes, in a clinic no
4. Facials: 18-20%, tip where ever the fee for the service is collected.

Be sure to tip only on the service not the products. Sometime the "forgetful" girls at the counter add the percentage to the entire bill, so I always check before I sign.

Hair dressers: 20% or more. I would give $20-25 on $100 treatment.
Taxi drivers: 20% or more for short fares (like rounding up $3.60 to $5)
Usually a clinical massage therapist does not get tipped - it would be like tipping your doctor. However, it is best to ask the clinician or even receptionist about this.
Facial - 15%
Whether or not to hand tips directly to provider depends on the place and if the person has already started with a new customer. It's up to you.

15-20 percent depending on service rendered
1. If you can afford a $100 haircut, then you can afford 10 dollars in tip at the very least. If you are really pleased with the haidressers work , then give her a bit more.
By that, I meant little extra services such as friendliness, extra concentration on working on your hair, and pleasant relaxing conversation.
2. Taxi drivers. 10 % at the barest minimum, extra for value added services. They usually deserve the most tip if you ask me. However they can also be the meanest , scariest drivers that you have the misfortune to meet. Even when you are white knuckled throughout the ride and your foot keeps on hitting that imaginary brake, you should still give them 10% for getting you to your destination alive. Whew !
3. You do not tip the professionals in number three.
4. 15 to 20 %

Dont forget that if the service was really bad , you are NOT obliged to leave tips at all. Remember my exception to the rule, the cab drivers.

You should tip 15-25%, lower only if you want to make the point that you were dissatisfied with the service. You don't tip therapists. You either pay tips in person or add the charge to the credit card if a line is available for this.

For taxi drivers, you should add a dollar for each bag he helps you with.

I have always tipped twenty percent of what my hair cut was or nails sometimes. even more. depending on the service I recieved. You always tip them in person, unless you are using a credit card. then you can add the tip onto the credit card. same goes for waiter,or waiteresses. If I get bad service then they don't get the kind of tip they should get. I watch them with all custormers to make sure its not just me getting bad service. if its just me. then they get a bad tip. If I see they are really having just a bad day or they are new on the job or in training then I will give them the twenty percent. You do not tip Massage therapist or physiotherapist. Not that I know of anyways. Not if you are in a clinic.
