I have a minor accident where someone clipped my bumper. She had insurance and we exchanged that information. do I need to do anything beyond contacting her insurance company i.e. do I have to go to the police and file a report.

You don't have to, but if for some reason she decides to fight you about it, you will need proof from an officer that a accident report was filed. Sounds like it's too late for that though. Hope it all works out for you.

You don't have to. But sometimes if you try to put a claim in for damage repair and you don't have a police report, they might not think you took the accident seriously.

In the state of Texas you do not have to, As long as both parties have insurance.
