I'm not worried about her screaming or anything like that, I want to know at what age I don't need to worry about it being so loud that it will damage her hearing to go to a movie at the movie theater, she is 15 months.

Let me repeat again since I didn't seem to be clear enough earlier, I'm NOT worried about her screaming, or whether she can sit through it, or about whether I NEED A BREAK, I JUST want to know at what age I don't need to worry about the theater quality sound damaging her hearing.

I don't think it's loud enough to damage her ears. I took my son to see Barnyard, he was 20 months old at the time. I'm not sure if it's b/c he loves cows, or what the reason was, but he sat there the entire time in Awe and LOVED it. (The only sounds he made was pointing out the objects and animals and naming them but we were the only ones in there.) I was prepared to leave after 30 minutes but he proved me wrong. I think she probably hears other things that are just as loud as the movie theater.

It may be loud enough to damage her hearing, or it may not be depending on the theatre.
I don't have any info for you. Some studies suggest infants/toddlers are neither more nor less suseptable to noise than adults. In any case the PEAK db in your local movie theatre should be no louder than 85db. Now unless you have a decible meter this can be hard to figure out. But generally I say if you think it's LOUD it's too loud.
The only solution I can offer you is put ear protection on your child. "Special" movie watching earmuffs. Course your child will figure out pretty quickly that she is the only one wearing them. But maybe you can get her to keep them on. Noise reducing headsets are better for a young child then the style you put in your ear.
Another thing you may want to do, is get together with a group of concerned people and have the bylaw officer check out your local theatre. In most places there are laws as to how loud they are allowed to be and they are generally breaking them. Enough constant complaints and the situation could change. Afterall it isn't just your daughter's hearing, it is everyone's.

I don't think the sound is loud enough to damage her hearing. Here, they have mommy and baby movie days so that mom's can bring their babies and not have to worry about a baby-sitter. I would just wait until she can sit through a full movie.

Depends on the age, and the movie. I wait till my son was over 2 until i took him to see CARS, but he loves cars period. And he sat through the whole thing. If you take her take her during the day when there arnt that many other people. And most kid movies is loaded with other kids so if yours isnt crying someone esle's is. Good luck!

No idea about damaging her hearing, I haven't taken my daughter and she is almost 4, she would never sit still and behave. My brother and sis in law have taken their boys when they were younger though, can't remember what age they were when they first took them though.

If you wish to enjoy a movie, I would not take your baby. It will be best for you to have a break, and best for her to not be amongst others and e/thing that goes with it. This is only my opinion, and not based on anything of fact.
