Inside the rice cooker there is a label of measurement of how many cups of water needed. Also consider the rice you will cook because when rice is stocked for a long time it will need more water.

I usually add 1-1/2 times the amount of rice in water when using my rice cooker. In your example that would be 3 cups.

you don't need cups to measure the rice or the water.
Jut put the rice in the rice cooker. Try and level the rice as much as you can. place your middle finger in the water with your finger tip just touching the rice. the water level should be at the first "line" of your middle finger. This works everytime with whatever amount of rice you make. good luck!

It depends on the rice cooker, but generally, it's between 1.5 - 2 cups per cup of rice. I'd say go for 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice (so, 4 cups of water), just because soggy rice is still edible, whereas dry, crunchy rice isn't.
After you make this batch of rice, you can figure out if you used too much water or just the right amount.

I would double the water, so 2 cups of rice, I'd use 4 cups of water.

1&3/4 cups. Most people will tell you twice as much water as rice, NOT SO!! Try both ways and prove for yourself.

1 to 2: as in if it's one cup rice, then two cups water. So two cups of rice would take four cups water.
