Those who sin are slaves to sin. We can not stop sinning without the help of the Holy Spirit. Sin is deep in our heart. Only a born again transformation can deliver us. We need a heart transplant. Simply knowing something is bad does not make good behavior. Pray that God will open the eyes and hearts of those who are lost in sin like we used to be.

They've decided that the cost of conforming to their religion is not worth it. This life is all they know and they want to make the most of it. Perhaps they're also gambling on the fact that they might be wrong. Or rather - that their religion might be wrong.

I was once one of those people. I chose to believe that having premarital sex wasn't going to be enough to send me to hell. Or some of the other things I did.

Your question seems to defy your own belief system. I am assuming that you are a traditional Christian and you believe that we must accept Jesus Christ as our savior and ask him to forgive us our sins in order to enter Heaven when we die, but your question seems to imply that we must be "good" or literally sinless in order to enter Heaven, which is not a traditional Christian belief.

I have corrected many people who have assumed that if they are "good" and did good deeds, that in itself would guarantee entry into Heaven leaving the "bad" people in Hell. I also must point out that every sin is so completely offensive to God, that he considers ALL sin the same. To God, murdering someone is the same as stealing or lying etc. it is OUR society that places distinction as to level of severity of sin (breaking the law).

No one is truly sinless according to Christian belief. They believe that we are born sinners and must be saved by God to enter Heaven. From that point on we are conisdered sinless--washed clean--even though we still sin our entire lives.

It is human nature to sin. My pastor once asked me... "Is a dog a dog because it barks, or does it bark BECAUSE its a dog?

The answer is the dog has to bark because its a dog and you are a sinner because you sin. The idea is to try not to sin (which would include judging other people's sins), but you are going to go to Heaven if you are saved. No matter what you do after that point. Period.

There will be people who do not believe even during the tribulation. But, God gives us the right to make our own decisions. You can read about the terrible things that are to come in the Book of Revelation. It will really scare you.

Yeah, I've often wondered how TV evangelists can scam innocent people out of their money, pretending to be doing God's work (while they get very rich, fast), and yet have no conscience about their wrong-doing -- or "sin", as you call it.

Because
1. Sin is so much more fun than church
2. There is no heaven or hell
3. If there is a heaven there won't be anybody I know there anyway

I thought God was all forgiving? Anyways, it's because people haven't actually SEEN hell. It's like why people don't care about global atmosphere or the O-zone, if there was a giant gaping hole in the sky, people will be like, omg, that hole is getting bigger! But cause people can't see it, they like to pretend like it isn't there.

some beleive it is a bluff, some beleive their marrats will get them by. Besides, how can eternal torment teach any lessions, when it goes on for ever? with no hope of getting out?
