My boyfriend had an 01 Xterra. The thing was slow as all hell. I think the newer models have a higher horsepower, so hopefully they have a bit more pick up. Otherwise, the car is roomy and ok looking.

I don't own one, but I usually have to work on at least two a week. And usually it's because of a sensor of some type going bad, or simple neglect on the driver's part. I wouldn't personally own one, unless I needed it for engine parts for my car.

I used to have one. the gas mileage sucked and it did not have much power. also everything on those is an "option" and ends up costing more money. i also had a pathfinder. they have a good bit more power and if you get a base model or a good used one i think it could save a lot of money.

I LOVE MY XTERRA THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THE LACK OF HORSEPOWER. ALSO THAT THE PLASTIC BODY MOLDING BEGINS TO FADE OVER TIME, WAY BEFORE THE PAINT EVER DOES. THE RIDE IS ACTIVE AND A LITTLE ROUGH. ON THE FLOOR SETTING FOR THE AC/HEATER, THE REAR PASSENGER DON'T REALLY GET THAT. THERE IS NO ILLUMINATION FOR THE WINDOW AND LOCK SWITCHES.
