Okay, why would people worship to an effigy of W? First of all its tacky, second its creepy. Is he supposed to be a prophet alongs the lines of Jesus? Personally the only thing I think Bush and Jesus have in common is that both are getting crucified

Yeah, there are those that worship "His Holiness George Dubya." They're the same people who are HORRIFIED and cry "TREASON!" when he is questioned or not shown enough "respect" to.
Senator-elect Jim Webb (who I didn't vote for, but if I knew he had kahunas like this, I would have) made the mistake of answering "God Dubya" the "wrong" way at a recent gala for Senators and it getting loads of heat for it (THE NERVE OF THAT HEATHEN!!!).
President Bush asked him "How's your son?" Senator Webb (who's son is in Iraq at the moment) answered "I wish he was home." Shoulda been the end of it, right? Noooo. "God Dubya" was displeased and said that wasn't the question that he asked, Senator Webb retorted (and I wish I had the exact quote) that he would worry about his son himself.
Well, the Bushies were outraged. How DARE that infidel! Burn him at the stake! There's some stupid letter-to-the-editor drivel everyday in the Richmond Times-Dispatch about it.
