can I use this to obtain my citizenship from france?

I quote: "After serving in the Legion for a certain period of time, a legionnaire may apply for French citizenship. During the early 1990's this used to be possible during a legionnaire's first 5 year term of service, however in recent years a second 5 year term must be committed to, to encourage longer service."

Sounds like you need to be in to do so, but your best bet would be to contact the nearest French embassy or consulate as they will have the most recent information.
