Paul said that he would rather be absent from the body and be present with the Lord - which means that when we die physically,
even though our physiacl body dies - our soul ( our conscience)
is taken straight to Heaven. We will receive our new body when Christ returns . We do not have to go through unknown mysteries of death which the unbelievers will have to go through. They will have to wait in the sleeping state for the judgement day - and then the punishment for their disobedience to their creator God who set down just a simple choice to believe in the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ who brings the only way of Redemption from eternal death . Our faith in God's promise gives us Eternal Life with all the Saints in Heaven where we shall never die or suffer sickness again - as we will inherit a New Heavenly Body like Angels. Only a God who is Eternal can give us this gift.

Seek ye God while He may be found.

Jesus said "Unless you eat of my flesh and drink of my blood , you have no life in you". He also said that you must be born again through baptism. Born again Christians fall asleep in death and are risen on the last day to be with Jesus in the Heavenly banquet in Heaven. Catholics are already there at every Mass as they truly receive the risen Body and Blood of Jesus in Holy Communion. They are the ones that are changed in a twinkling of an eye at death. They are currently alive in Christ so they never die. St. Paul said "Behold I tell you a great mystery, not everyone standing here will fall asleep, some of us will be changed in the twinkling of an eye" He knew not everyone in the future or even then would be able to receive Holy Communion. There just weren't that many priests then but, it was the faith in Jesus and the proof of the faith, having been baptized, that saved them.

Our body will die and then will we be absent from the body and face to face with the Lord. The only way we can avoid physical death is if the Rapture happens. Peace out.

I'm going to ignore your preachy tirade and answer your original question.

No. They'll actually die twice.
Think about it. They were born twice, weren't they?
