Maybe its just me, but I am totally disgusted by people clipping their fingernails. Often people are just doing it "in the open" without any regard to where the clippings are going... Gross!

First, i won't be able to imagine of a clarification why someone would want to clip their fingernails at paintings. own hygiene must be dealt with at living house. 2d, fingernails have a tendency to fly throughout at the same time as clipped, and ought to finally end up everywhere. I constructive as heck would not opt to locate somebody else's clippings in my lunch or in my section. yet you're precise, large agencies are a discomfort in the rear.

I work on a trade floor, and I wouldn't dare clip my fingernails while my co-workers were around! But if they weren't sitting around me, I would maybe do it. But 99% of the time I clip them at home. I do agree that it's the clipping sound that's annoying and inconsiderate.
And definitely don't clip your TOEnails at work!

I clip my fingernails at work, but in the privacy of my office. As to the first response, I'm sure that flying clippings aren't the problem, but the annoying clicking sound. I don't think someone should do this in a cubicle. He should go to the bathroom to do this in that environment.

I know two people that do this. One ditz does it in the lunch room. There is a whole group of us that finds it tacky at best. We received the same response when we approached the offending klutzes. For the record, I'm a redblooded all american guy.

as a male, I'm gonna have to say that your home is the place for clipping nails, but there are much worse things he could be doing at work.
I just feel bad for whomever cleans his cube. I wouldn't want to clean up someones toe and fingernails. **** that.

That's the same as saying "any guy will agree to adjusting yourself in public..."
but i think it's not cool at work.. why tend to personal matters at work?
grooming should be done before (shower, shave, clip nails, poop) work or after (poop again).

clipping fingernails is definitely at home maintenance chore.
That is just too gross. I imagine it is a health risk too.
Think about what accumulates under your nails.

As long as he's in his cube and the clippings aren't flying everywhere, I don't see the problem. If it bothers you knowing he's doing it, why don't you make some calls or do some filing or something to get your mind off it. That's better than my office mate who's sneezes rattle the walls!
