Unless you're talking about beef jerky. You can lean beef jerky up because it's dried and hard.

I assume you are refferring to lean GROUND beef...as if your question is simply lean beef, well, then it comes from lean cuts of beef.

Lean ground beef comes from the undesirable cuts of beef, like all other ground beef...the difference is that it has a lower fat content.

beef comes from cows, who were raised with the purpose of becoming food. kinda like how corn is grown with the purpose to be cut down. same thing.

I like eating buffalo and deer. Low cholesterol and low fat and no preservatives or steroids and hormones. Wild game is good for you.
