Yea, this is one I struggle with a bit...although I remember hearing a feesible answer once while I was in Bible college. Here are some possibilities to consider:

In the gospels:
1. He was speaking of the coming of his SPIRITUAL kingdom, which would happen during Pentacost.
2. He was speaking to believers during the church age.
3. Context-what are these things Jesus is speaking of?

In the later books:
1. There is a verse that says, "A day is like a thousand years" to God. Quickly is a relative term.
2. We are in the "End Times" or "Last Days" now. I am not talking about the Tribulation but we are in the last part of history until Messiah returns to establish his PHYSICAL kingdom (spiritual kingdom came at pentacost).
3. In 1 John, John is referring to "Antichrists" as people who have left the church. There will be a falling away of many who attend church near the end. Those who are "saved" will remain.
4. Keep in mind that only the Father knew the day and hour of Messiah's return...that comes in to play somehow here.

Those are some of my thoughts...man, that is a good question, I will have to think through it some more.

A collection of quotes that on the surface appear to connect, but are disjointed.
The Lord is returning soon, this is the hope of the church of Jesus Christ.
The Kingdom has come with power, the historical documentation is called THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES the canonized book in the new testament. This fulfills the statement of Jesus, "But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God." -- Luke 9:27

The other quotes and pseudo-statements I leave to your further investigation. "These things" do not refer to fulfillment within the hearers' lifetime.

Peace.

No. really, it may come to pass in the technology of those those who referred to the indicators of the right circumstances start up to be fulfilled. social gathering, if a demonstration of the right circumstances became "Jerusalem will be trodden down by using the Gentiles, till the circumstances of the Gentiles be fulfilled" St. Luke 21:24 and if Israel regaining administration of the former city became a success of that prophecy, then it must be envisioned that some who were alive then would nonetheless be alive at the same time as the "end" comes. the right of what? the right of the excellent Tribulation, the right of the age, and the institution of Christ's Kingdom, upon the Throne of David.

He is/was talking about the second coming in which he will be coming in full Power and Glory, with all the Saints. There will be a 1000 year reign of Satan before that happens. And that has not happened yet. Also the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem has not been rebuilt yet. So Jesus will not fulfill this prophecy untill these things have been done.

We are the generation that is mentioned.

Yes and the end of the world ruled by death came to an end. Jesus descended into Hades and opened the gates of the afterlife to all souls. Also, the end of the Jews as God's chosen people was effected with the new priesthood of Melkizadek! Remember, the Jews were looking for a militant Messiah, they were waiting for the wrong thing. Those waiting for the end of the world also were waiting for the wrong kind of end!

In Matthew he is talking about His own demise (Jesus). Does not have a time line in the rest of which you talk, just says soon. Keep searching. The truth is out there.... x-files. Such a great show. If you read the skeptics version of the bible, you will find just that, contradictions. If you believe what is written to be of God, you will find truth. Weird hey? Blessings to you.

I am familiar with those verses. And none say the end happened.

If Jesus said some of those standing there will see the Kingdom of God then it's true.

I like how you take things out of context to make your own view seem like its the truth. Good way to blow things out of proportion.
