Ambien 10 mg works, but I have to stop taking it because it is addictive. I then tried Trazodone (1/2 pill), but I still woke up in the night. Afraid to try more than 1/2 pill of Trazodone since next day I felt very groggy and felt like I was hallucinating. Tried Tylenol PM, but still woke up in the night. Has anyone else with insomnia caused by Cymbalta tried Lunesta or Rozerem or anything else that works?

The better way to go would be to talk to your doctor about a different antidepressant. Adding a drug to combat the side effects of another drug isn't a good idea when there are other choices. There are many antidepressants. Also, have you tried taking your Cymbalta early in the morning? Sometimes, that can keep it from causing insomnia.

I have never taken Cymbalta, but I have severe insomnia for years now and this is just my opinion. I suggest seeking the opinion of a psychiatrist, they deal a lot with these issues. I have tried Ambien, Lunesta and Rozerem. They all worked for me at first, then stopped working. I now take Seroquil and it tends to work. Stress, diet and other things can increase the insomnia. As I said, talk to a Psychiatrist or family doctor even and tell them what is going on with you. Sometimes it takes trying several meds or combinations of meds to find the right one for you. Everyone is different and certain meds might work better for some than others. Good luck!
