I'm engaged to a severe "mama's boy." Anyone have any reasonable coping tips?...and no I'm not going to leave him because of it, so don't bother telling me to get out now.

Got bad news for ya, once a" mama's boy" always a "mama's boy". There's nothing you can do about it but deal with it. Trust me I know.

no off course that i wouldnt tell u to stop loving him and who ever does its not like u would actually listen right?
but i think that thats not a good thing because watch his mom be all the time over and never leave u be. u should put a stop to it now that ur engaged and not before its to late!

It's not necessarily a bad thing that he's a "mama's boy". Try to see why he is like that. My mom always told me that if you want to know how a guy really is then see how he treats his mother. So if he loves his mom and treats her really good then he'll definitely treat you good! Good luck!

Make sure that you and Mom in Law have the same dreams/goals for her "boy" and your fiancee.
Seriously though, you are in for a lot of crap until he stands up to Mom or she dies.....you've been warned

if you're engaged then you've crossed the most difficult hurdle. just don't allow the engagement to go on for years, you will have to let him know while you're loving him; can your momma do you like this, let's get married by-----and if it doesn't happen return the ring(if you want to)and move on

well,you should respect him more because he loves his moma so much,perhaps ull have a son like him in the future. So dont worry right now about his being a "moma's boy" because ull have plenty of good years dominating him in the future.

You should never leave a 'mumma's boy'. This means he treats his mother with respect and will in turn respect you. I rather have a mumma's boy then a man who has issues with his mom. Deal with it.
