a "few small red spots" on your forehead do not mean you have acne. if they do not come to a "head" (white, pus filled or black) they may be a rash or some other skin condition, like rosacea. if you are concerned, go to a dermatologist.
first, stop drinking the diet coke. period. no soda, especially dark cola drinks. second, sours should have little effect. cut out junk food - fried foods, stuff without any nutritional value, as basically they are JUNK and you need actual nutrition to have healthy skin. eat lots of dark green leafy vegetables - excellent for the skin. Increase your consumption of natural foods containing folic acid - also excellent for skin & hair. get plenty of sleep, eat a balanced diet, and get some exercise every day. use a soap free cleansing wash (incredible as it seems, baby shampoo or wash is very gentle and non drying) and oil free cleansers & moisturizing products. DO NOT use scrubs, products containing alcohol, or anything that wuld dry your skin (like over the counter acne products). these products will just irritate your skin further.

I had the same problem when I was your age, and I also have really dry skin. Aveeno makes really nice products that aren't too expensive and won't dry your skin. They have a moisturizer with oatmeal, it's really nice and doesn't make my skin look greasy. It's still not going to make the acne go away (unfortunately, that is part of the agony of being 16), but it will calm it down. Also remember, you WILL have extra breakouts especially around your chin and lower face right before your period. I would also pick up a good powder cover-up, Almay and Maybelline make nice ones. You may have to try a few to find one that works best. Good Luck.
MOST IMPORTANT: Don't use Oxy or Clean and Clear, or anything with Salicic Acid (sp?) in it, it will only dry out your dry skin more, and that will cause further breakouts.

First you need to start drinking water it helps to flush out impurities in your skin. Secondly, since you skin is breaking out and is dry try a gentle cleanser like clean and clear. DONT use a scrub b/c it will only irritate you skin even more!! And try a moisturizer that is light but has SPF 15 or higher in it. I really love all the Clean and Clear line b/c their products are gentle especially for sensitive skin. Try not to wear a lot of makeup either b/c it clogs you skin if you forget to wash it off. And whatever you do don't scrub you skin when you wash it!! This will not make the pimples go away it only makes them worse!!!

Well I would drink more water and less coke. try a website called dermstore.com they have great products. A good cleanser is NeoStrata's anti-Bac cleanser and try La RochePosays calming toner, then get the moisturizer too, as you do not want to dry out your skin, just use it sparingly. You do not need a scrub as this can irritate your acne.
Ask mom if she will take you to an esthetician or a dermatologist if these things do not work.
Good Luck!

It doesn't matter what you eat.
Use a product with benzoyl peroxide as the active ingrediant.
After washing your face, use a lot of the product on your problem areas. Then use a good bit of a non-comedagenic lotion (Cetaphil has a good one) to keep your skin from getting too dry.
You'll probably want to do this 2 or 3 times a day, and keep the lotion around because it will make your skin dryer.
Keep it up, even when your acne starts clearing up. It'll prevent acne, too.

Nutrogena makes good products, just pick the ones for your skin type. Also, try St. Ives Apricot scrub. It is a particularly good scrub for dry skin.
Eating sour stuff is okay - as long as you eat fresh. That will give you vitamin C. Cut the soda - it is overall bad for you anyways and does not give you any nutrients. Are you eating any fried foods ? That can give major acne. Cut out all the chips / fries etc. Also, go easy on sweets like candy or high fat pastries.
Good luck.

I would try proactiv solution. I tried it, and it worked. It made my skin get worse when I first used it, but after almost 2 weeks it was really nice. If thats too expensive, use a gentle face wash, like Neutrogena Acne wash, twice a day (NEVER more than twice because washing your face too much will make you produce more oil causing acne to get worse!) and an astringent with Witch hazel in it. Or just get pure witch hazel. Also, if you need a moisterizer, clean and clear makes one with benzoyl paroxide in it. Good luck!

The diet soda is HORRIBLE for you. Full of chemicals and sodium. Quit drinking it. Switch to iced tea or something.
1. Aveeno clear complexion bar of soap - awesome
2. Don't scrub - it'll make it worse. Use Clean and Clear Blackhead eliminating toner with a cotton ball instead. Rinse face with water afterwards.
3. Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer
1 and 3 have gentle amounts of salicylic acid in them, so they're very effective.

There are a lot of pimple creams out there, personaly, I use Oxy Vanishing lotion, I put it on once ot twice a day. A lot of it is also what you eat, try eating some vegetables and fruits, it should wash some of the toxins out of your body and take your skin back to that baby soft touch!
