It's always the same, they seem to be lacking enough spice, and the last one I bought with hope was no different and even seemed to be lacking in the evaporated milk department, seemed a little grainy not creamy. If you have, what store and what Brand Name on the pie?

Oh, no doubt! I have been making pies since I was a kid, even making my own crust from scratch, nothing can compare. But just once I would like to find one that's store bought to be able to have one when you really don't feel like fussing. You know, buy and eat. My last one I sprinkled exta spice on top before eating it I kinda pressed it into the pie, better! I've enjoyed cooking since I was like 12 years old, love it.

Costco seems to have a good one, other than that it has to be homemade baby all the way!

Have a GREAT day!

I usually hate store bought pumpkin pies but recently I have a slice of pie from Sam's Club which is a huge store a lot like CostCo and found it to be delcious. The pie was made by Sam's and tasted amazing.

Pumpkin pie filling is not even made from real pumpkin :( .....apparently it's butternut squash, a close relative of the pumpkin. I eat pumpkin seeds, so yes, I have tasted pumpkin.

I really don't do the store bought pies at all, and I don't eat pumpkin pie. However, I totally agree with you, they do lack something.

I actually think that Wal-Mart or Sam's club (basically the same thing, just Sam's club is a bulk grocery store) has a really good pumpkin pie.

Actually, if you have a Costco near you, they are the closest to homemade that I have tried. They are 10 inch and are usually 5.99...enough for the whole family. Try a little homemade whipped cream on top, and you are ready to go.
