They won't take you son for trying to protect him and leaving the abusive situation. Most domestic violence shelters are set up for mothers and children. They would expect your child to be with you and removed from the situation. Contact your local law enforcement agency and run as fast as you can... Do not try to take every thing with you. Most place have resources to provide you with everything you need to set up a new household. Your main objective right now is to get out and save the life of you and your child. If you have to leave with just the clothes on your back, GO!!!!!

Honey, if you don't get out of that relationship and away from the abuser, they are going to take your son away. YOU NEED TO LEAVE. Nobody is going to take away your child for trying to obtain help. Tons of parents/children are in shelters together...that's what they are there for..to protect you and your children from harm. Contact a social worker who will help you with this hon and keep your chin up, things don't stay this crappy forever. It's a small chapter in your life that you will eventually learn from and close.

You son can be taken away from you if you continue to subject him to abuse. If you seek shelter, they have many for woman with children. Both you and your son will be safe there. The staff will help you to protect yourself and your son.

If it's a abuse shelter, you and your son should be ok. You need a social worker to help you so that both you are your son's needs are met.

I don't know where you are based, but in most jurisdictions (i.e. US, Canada, western Europe) you won't have a problem with them taking away your kid. The shelter should also be able to advise you on getting a lawyer so that you can get an injunction and hopefully have the shitbag locked up.

In the US, call the police and they will take you and your son to a shelter where your husband can't find you. The locations are kept secret so you can'r just show up at one. Good luck.
