There's a guy that likes to flirt with me-tell me he thinks I'm "hot" and that I have a great personality..but we don't like each other as anything more than a friend. The guy that I'm with right now is the love of my LIFE, but sometimes he "doesn't have time" to stop and tell me he thinks I'm hot, cute, sweet, funny, or anything positive for my ego. I don't want to say anything to him about not telling me those things, though, because he's really sensitive, and I don't want to hurt his feelings. But me and the "other guy" never touch each other, not even a friendly hug or handshake, and we never talk about anything sexual. I'm just wondering-is this wrong?

I firmly believe in flirting. Flirting is a lighthearted and harmless way to make others feel good about themselves. That in itself isn't bad. But it doesn't sound like this your situation.

Your description makes the situation sound like a symptom to a problem and not the problem itself. You are craving attention that you don't get from your boyfriend - which makes it neither lighthearted or harmless. Perhaps you need to talk to your boyfriend about his lack of attention rather than pursue it from another person.

I wouldnt flirt verbally or non verbally if i have already found the love of my life. That doesnt make sense to me.I would love my guy even if he didnt care to say me those things like hot, cute, funny whatever.Because such things wouldnt make any bigger difference if he truely love and care about me.

no, it's not wrong, but flirting means that you could or would like to be more than just friends. and if your boyfriend don't got time to compliment you, then what's the point of being with him. he should make time, or you should move on.

The way to test yourself is to ask yourself this: If my boyfriend were standing right here, would I do (whatever it is) in front of him?" If the answer is no, you're doing something wrong.
