how do i make windows media player the default player for videos (over quicktime)?

When I click on certain weblinks, the video will open up in either windows media player or quicktime.

Windows Media Player can't play MPEG. Which is what quicktime is.

another possiblity would be download the codecs or to remove the file assocation (under perfernece) of quicktime. i usually don't use quicktime. i just download the codecs and let the windows media player play them

well if its a .mov then it will open in quicktime. WMP can't play quicktime files

wmp plays wmv, asf, avi, mpg files
quicktime plays .mov files
