For me Joe Calzaghe is head and shoulders above the others. 9 years as Champ and still undefeated. His record speaks for itself.

Jeeze some of you really don't have a clue !!

Calzaghe is superb, he hasn't fought many big names, Jeff Lacy being the most well known and producing his best performance which says a lot about his character and heart. His follow up fight with Sakio Bika was a little disappointing, ok Bika is an awkward, dirty fighter but if he can dismantle Jeff Lacy the way he did he should be knocking the Sakio Bika's of this world out in the middle rounds.

Ricky Hatton hasn't fought any big names, you must be having a laugh! Kosta Tszyu is a great boxer and was heavily punished by Ricky who in my opinion is only second to Floyd Mayweather as the best pound for pound boxer in the world, and I think that his raw power could even lead to a victory over Mayweather. Carlos Maussa is no walk over either and Ricky sparked him! The fight agains Collazo was a weight up and Collazo is a big Welterweight. To get a UPD against an American in America is rare, I think he did extremely well !

Clinton Woods again is accused of fighting nobodies, I think Glencoffe Johnson would have something to say about that ! Again a good boxer but not in the league of Calzaghe and Hatton.

I agree with the David Haye statement, he's class, and keep an eye on Kevin Mitchell, a future World Champ no doubts.

Calzaghe is probably the best champion as he's been champ for longer than any of the others.
I personally think pound for pound the best is Ricky Hatton, at the 10 stone weight division there is nobody who punches that hard or is anywhere near as good.

At the moment Calzaghe hes beaten alot of good fighters and never really been close to losing ever, its only since beating Lacy that he is being finally being recognised for being as good as he is. Hatton is just below him at the moment his last fight wasent good but other than that you can't fault his previous performances that much.Woods at the moment is similar to what Calzaghe was a few years back a good world champion but only really known by people who are into boxing. He needs to fight a name fighter to boost his profile but i can't see him being as sucessful as Hatton or Calzaghe. Junior Whitter is another fighter who potentially could be really good but needs to fight the top names to prove it.

Hatton has had the harder fights although Calzaghe destroyed Jeff Lacy. The one I think we should all watch out for is David Haye, this guy has both heart and the skill, think he could be a damn fine Champion in time.

Hands down its Calzaghe! Woods was god awful, and Hatton is still a questionmark because he hasnt fought anyone yet, and he looked terrible in his first figh in the US....looks like we wont be seeing that chump in Vegas anytime soon (thank god)

ALthough they are all undeniably successful, i think Hatton, anyone who can move up a weight division and still maintain his stronghold on the opponents is a mighty good fighter!
