I've heard that they are as they are extremely sociable.

It depends on the owner. If you are a 'soft' or novice owner I wouldn't recommend it. I worked with a couple recently, and the owner was of this type, and it was awful. They were out of control and biting anyone who came in the house. They were so good after I gave them a little attitude adjustment, but I'd bet they are back to their nasty old ways. The woman was WAY to timid to handle the pair, although one might have been fine. They tend to 'feed' off each other until they are in a frenzy.

Stupid rescue said they couldn't be seperated, so she had to take both.

I know there are some nice schnauzers, but I have also seen MANY nasty ones.

Most any dog is better off mentally in pairs.

ALL dogs are social and ALL dogs would be happier if they had a K-9 friend. IMO.
