I just found out over the summer time that I am deadly allergic to bees. I have an Epi-pen and I am getting a medic alert bracelt but I need to know if bees are out in the winter time. I am not gonna carry a shot with me everywhere I go if there are no bees out.

They are not out BUT, on a warmer sunny day in the winter, they can come out. Just carry it with you when the temperature is above freezing and you will be safe.

II think they are.I was at a school and there were bees out in the trees and it was a cold day. I don't think they come out as much during the winter time. It depends on where you live to, because i'm in FL. So you shouldn't be too worried, but better safe than sorry.

Carry it with you!!!!!
Depending on the climate...some bees are still around in winter. We have a bees nest right by my office and we have to dodge them so we don't get stung.
Bees hybernate at this time of year, so if they do wake up early and go for a fly...they are doopey and are more likely to sting.
Be safe and always carry it with you....because you never know!

Most bees die from the cold weather. The remainder are huddled inside the hive around the queen to try and keep her warm. They feed on the honey stores that are left over until spring. Then, the queen gets busy laying eggs and the few remaining workers tend to them.

Generally speaking though, most of the hive dies when the weather gets cold.

Bees are not out typically in the winter months but if the temperature gets hot enough, they may pop out.... The cold make them lethargic...
