When i minimise any open programme or document, i lose it completely not on taskbar at all?

To check to see if it is there press and hold the "Alt" key on the lft of your space bar press "Tab" once, keep the "Alt" key held down. This should bring up all your open programs. Pressing the tab key while hold down the Alt key will let you scroll through and select a program.
