We had a meeting with him today to discuss pay, and he did it again. He just sat there and filled his underwear, so we all felt obliged to leave. How much longer can he get away with this?

That reminds me of a history teacher I once had, who used to set us a chapter to read to ourselves and play with himself behind the desk.

If it really is a serious question, I would interpret the behaviour as a response to severe stress. Your boss has no money to pay you and your colleagues, or give you and your colleagues a pay rise, and cannot deal with the stress, so he reverts back to being a helpless baby whose mother cleans him up after he soils his nappy.

That is disgusting! He should be reported to HR immediately. Employees should not be discussing to each other every time they relieve themselves. It's like sexual harassment, but grosser. Ugh, mail a box of Depends to him and have the secretary deliver them during your next meeting. I'm sure everyone will crack up.

Oh, COME ON!!!
I don't believe this for a second.

If your issue is real, the obvious approach is to contact Human Resources, and let them deal with it. In the meanwhile, conduct your end-of-year appraisals with his boss, after explanation.

If he has a bowel control issue he needs to be treated. Maybe wear diapers. If not, he should be evaluated by a mental health practitioner.

That is a hideous, gross and unsanitary way to get attention.

That is unless he is afraid to lose his job and it scares the **** out of him. I just had to throw that in

He can get away with it until you have a confrontation - unless he owns the organisation - then he can get away with it until everybody leaves. Tell him he is a dirty little sh1tbag, tell his wife, post a report of it on the lamp posts near where he lives, tell the health and safety at work people, invoke the COSHH regulations.

That is childish and very wrong. You should put in a complaint about him to his line manager or the HR department. If he's not adult enough to act civilly in a meeting, then would you want him in charge of your pay???

Anybody that indulges in habits of that kind would totally loose my respect -- I would find it impossible to continue to work or be associated with this Character -- New Year== New Job --- Good Luck

Tell him that's inappropriate and stop. If doesn't report him and if he still don't stop, have everyone chip in and buy him Depends and some butt wipes put it in front of him at the meetings and embarrass the hell out of him.

He sounds mental. Does he own the company, in which case there probably isn't much you can do. If he doesn't, his behavior should be reported to higher ups. The man needs help.
