Well, dont feel so bad. I'm 21 and never been on a date. Women who are out of my age range (17 - , 30 +) dont know why.
I've figured out why nice guys cant win: Women in America are superficial!

Join a club appealing to both men and women. You'll meet friends having a mutual interest in the Club. Then, start out with friendship talk to everyone, gradually working up your nerve to ask out someone you are most interested in.

Well, do you want a date? If so, make friends with someone you'd like a date with. When you get comfortable with that person, ask her/him if she/he would like to go to a movie (or out to dinner, or to a sporting event). If your friend doesn't want to go out with you, find another friend. We all have to be willing to take a little rejection (they aren't rejecting you as a person, just as a date, you know). Not everyone is physically attracted to everyone else. There are people you wouldn't want to ask out, I'm sure. So, it's just a matter of finding a person you want to go out with who wants to go out with you. It can't happen until you make friends.
