TracFone is beautiful universal. If that you would be able to, get one with Triple Minutes, and use the *smallest* month-to-month increment. Total, as a way to prevent essentially the most money, while giving an ample amount of minutes. However, if you're going to be getting her a cellphone to make use of as a ordinary device (TracFone is for spare users or any person not using a phone mobilephone as a primary-means of verbal exchange) go along with Straight-speak "All-You-need" plan. Each of the 2 I've recounted to this point are run by means of the identical enterprise. The TracFone option is if the cell can be an "emergency/maintaining-tab's" phone. The StraightTalk option is that if you are giving your daughter a telephone she'll use day-to-day or each few hours. (StraightTalk additionally has the lowest unlimited Plan on this planet, if she so chooses.) All are not any contracts and are month-to-month. Blissful looking!

Why does she want a phone? To chat with her friends? To fit in? I would say no, personally, I think 10 is way too young. I know that some companies have family plans where you can get a cell phone for your child that only calls your phone so they can reach you in case of an emergency, but if she's begging for one, that's probably not what she's after.

If my son asked for a cell phone at 10 I think I would concider it. I'd put him on a family plan that has the geo system in it. Then as double duty, I can make sure he has a way to contact me at all times and I'd know where he was when he wasnt' with me. Knowing he's only 10 though I don't think I'd spend a whole lot on the phone but Kids mostly like it to text message eachother I'd have to make sure it had PCS ability and buy a text message plan.

I would not recommend it, unless she comes home to an empty house after school, stays after school everyday, or is more likely to be alone alot. I think she is too young, giving the phone to her, she will think she can get about anything, it may be hard to say know, knowing that shes your baby ( liitle girl) and you would like to please her. But she wants a phone because everyone has a phone, society sales to make money and she is to young to have one. It would be best for her to have a cell phone when she gets into high school, soon or later everyone in elementary school is going to be having a cell phone, this is ridiculous. I hope this helped, get her something more her age, do not let her grow up so fast, or in the future their will be problems. God Bless!

10 is too young for a regular cell phone, however to teach her responsibility, and give her what she wants, I'd get either the Disney phone or the phone that has ALL the emergency numbers programed in it and you can add 5 to it and that's all she can call. They let her know you trust her without you having to worry about a huge bill.

Kind of young but depends on the 10 year old. Get her a firefly or Disney phone and explain to her that is for emergencies only and she only gets ONE chance to prove she is irresponsible or not.

you need to decide if she will really need one or just wants to have one. My children 12 and 9 have been bugging me for one also. We are not going to give them one. They are never with someone who doesn't have a cell phone. Besides are you will to pay for the overages when they talk too much? My son (12) doesn't really talk to his friends when they do call so why should I spend the extra money for something he doens';t really need. Good luck.
