if you truly believe whatever you believe why should you care what someone else thinks and get upset about what people say.

You bring up a good point.
The devoutly religious are intimidated by dissent. If they were truly secure in their beliefs, they wouldn't need to harass those who disagree with them and can point out the flaws in their logic and thinking.
People do not understand that religious belief is NOT immune to criticism, scrutiny, and ridicule. I can respect a person while at the same time not "respect" their beliefs.

Jews do not care what other people think (in terms of faith). However what people say is powerful (especially if it is hateful or dehumanizing) the holocaust and events like it never could have happened without all that was said beforehand to justify them. Even if what was said was not meant to justify the atrocities they supported. Hope that makes sense.

Because we Religious people worry when a fellow human being leads a false life. God has taught us to help others lead Good, Ideal life.
There are people in world who for the sake of attention or identity refuse to believe God, cheap publicity stunt or gimmick.

Religious people like to pretend that they are god and pass judgment and punishment. cause they are sadistic.
Why don't they just let God decide and leave the people out of it?
Oh cause the bible says to strike down non beleivers?
and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
it seems anymore that you must be of some religion in order to trade. you have to be Morman to prosper in Utah, You have to be Muslim to prosper in the middle east, you have to be Christian to prosper in the US,Ireland,Italy,Mexico, and many others. seems the mark of the beast is 6od

Because they love us so much and want us to see how lovely life is by believing in their god that they have to keep ramming their beliefs into our faces every time we turn around.
Even though the very bible itself says to worship in PRIVATE you will be rewarded in PUBLIC.
Then again they pick and choose what to believe in the bible
