do you guys think that a person can teach themselves a language by this i mean can they just sit at home with a couple of videos and textbooks and then come out fluent in that language or do you think the actually need to go to school to learn it ?????

It's definitely possible, but I think interacting with other people is the best way. Videos and textbooks usually teach formal phrases and words- the best way to learn a language is to learn the basics and put it into practice.

There are multiple stories of people learning Esperanto in a week, just from books.
Gifted I'm sure, and not me to be sure, but it IS that easy if you've the desire.

Yes, I think it's possible, (or, at least, I hope that, because is what I'm doing to learn Romanian), but it's difficult because you must be quite constant in the studies...

Yes, it is possible but ultimately what makes you fluent is the practice.
