Is it true that getting a tattoo that extends across the middle of the back could mess up the spine?

I've heard about the lower back tattoos being an inconvenience during child delivery, but is there anything dangerous about middle-of-the-back tattoos besides that?

A tattoo that is done on skin, that covers your back bone, will cause a lot of pain when the artist is drawing on you, this is because, he is not only drawing on the skin, but the bone as well.

However apart drom the stinging sensation from first having it done, no other pain or damage is aquired.

I have two on my spine in the middle of my back. I have no problems. I have no clue where you are getting your tattoo info. The only problem I had was during the tattoo - it was on my spine so it shock a nerve in my butt and made me feel like someone was tickling my butt!!!

A back tattoo is not any different then any other tattoo. The needle(s) don't even go through all the layers of the skin.

I have never heard of that. The needle doesn't go in deep enough to puncture the spine.

Uh, no. Getting ink injected directly under your skin will not even come close to messing up you spine.
