i had fedora6
then i installed windows xp
and now my linux doesnt come up
how ican repare it?

Reverse what you did. And make the partition smaller than usual. But install XP then Linux for Dual -booting.

windows XP overwrites the MBR and erases any bootloader information saved there. I would have installed XP first, then Fedora next on a different partition. Fedora installation process recognizes the installed windows and gives you an option to set up a boot loader either LILO or GRUB. You can also choose which OS should boot by default.
