Does He Like Me?

Question

There is a boy at school a year older than me, who I have feelings for. I've only recently become proper friends with him, and I wonder if he likes me back. He hugs me when I see him, he teases me sometimes, he looks at me all the time, but then will look away once I spot him, he also comes to talk to me when he see's me. However sometimes when he's with a bunch of friends, he won't talk to me, but that only happens rarely. He's certainly not a shy person, at all, and people have said that apparently we flirt when we talk to each other, though I personally haven't noticed this. He also gave me his number recently, but I can't figure out if he likes me as a friend or more, because he acts as if I am alot younger than him when this isn't true.

Do you think he likes me? Does he even know I like him?

This guy doesn't have to be your age to like you. I'm only 13 and i like a 16 year old. I think he likes u. The dude i like really has no time to talk to me @ school so feel lucky you can talk to ur crush. Guys are very sneaky about flirting. They can do it by just smiling @ u or teasing you or annoying you on purpose. Hugging is a good step. The question is if he started hugging you first or if you started hugging him first. If he started hugging you first then he probably likes you a lot. But if he didn't it doesn't matter. The point is is that he doesn't push you away. He probably doesn't talk 2 u all the time around his friends because he's either shy or doesn't want to be rejected because he'd rather talk to a younger person rather than his friends. Try to make friends w/his friends. That always works.

Judge him on how he acts when he's alone with you. If he acts like an idiot around his friends, it's probably because all boys act like freaks when they're trying to impress their mates. Certainly acting kind towards a girl they like, and letting their mates see their softer, nicer side, isn't 'cool', so don't judge him on how he acts when his friends are watching. If he hugs you when he meets you, he's showing that he wants to touch you and be near you. If he gave you his number, he wants you to call him. If you flirt when you're talking to him, without even realising it, then you have chemistry. If he teases you, that's an age-old communication tool utilised by boys to get the attention of a girl they're interested in - particularly if it's gentle, funny teasing, not hurtful teasing. He's probably acting like he's a lot older than you in order to maintain his feeling of 'cool' and his status in the eyes of his mates. In general, I'd say you're a lucky girl who is liked by the guy she likes. This won't happen very often in life, so go for it now while you can! Try asking him out for a coffee or to go for a walk, or something you would both like to do. Just make sure it's only the two of you. And have lots of fun.

hmm sounds like these situations are gettin more common atm.
alot of people get this..

basically how i see it is.. you both want eachother but because you have your own group of friends each you both want your
friends to approve of what could be a relationship or atleast he does.

its either that or he might be wondering if its a good thing to do, some people dont want relationships to clash with their work especially if you are both in the same workplace.

so there could be several reasons nothing has happened however you'll just know deep down whether he likes you or not, he could ignore you or tease you but then when your alone he might be really nice to you. its usually a sign he doesnt want others to find out.

so if you do make a move keep the relationship 'private' until people discover it themselves that you two are going out, its better for people to work it out but by bit then for them to know all at once.

i think he likes you anyway, hes flirted enough, but he wants you to text him and take it from there probably.

all you can do is ask him if he likes you, dont let others decide or approve of your relationship, its you and him only, the relationship doesnt include any of his mates or yours. go for it or you will never know.

Boys in high school are like that. They don't want their friends in on whatever feelings they are having for a girl for a number of reasons. He might worry about being teased, or maybe even that one of his friends might go after you for themselves. It's pretty normal behavior at that age. :o)

It definitely sounds like he's interested. Flirt back when he flirts with you, smile when he smiles at you etc. But remember, you're worth a lot and he should recognize that. If he doesn't, he's not right for you. It's easy to forget at your age.

ask around to his friends or your friends.. If he hugs you and teases you, it could be just a really good friends thing, but if anything, the only way to truly find out is ask around to your friends or his friends or even just wait and see if he makes the first move, or if you are that desperate, go ahead and ask him to go to the movies or hang out after school or something.. there's always things you can find to do to see if he really likes you...

It's always tricky to tell if someone is into you when everyone flirts with everyone these days. Only time will tell. For now, just work on building your friendship and get to know him better. Perhaps a romantic relationship will come out of it.

It sounds very much like he likes you. He may be hasitating to express his feelings towards you because of the age difference and that his friends might not approve. I would wait until you two are alone together and ask him straight out how he feels about you and go from there.

maybe he acts as if you are too younger than him because you haven't given him a reason to think that you may possibly wanna be more than cool friends. i think he likes you !!! and callmaybe he dont say much to yuou in front of friends because thats what boys do sometimes.
