Many Adult night courses run floral courses. I was thinking of taking one just to know how to do it. ICS runs one in Canada that you can do at home. If you can't find one being offered in your home town this could be the answer a long-distance education course.

Yes they do exist, some colleges will arrange them thru local florist. However allot of it is natural ability, and having a good eye for floral arrangements, allot of people just pick it up on their own, get some silk flowers and mess around with them.
I attended a class thru ITT at a local florist years ago but a good eye and natural ability is better than any class, as well as the right supplies. Don't be afraid to try it on your own.

I created balloon topiarys. I pants an inexpensive clay pot gold, put a gold painted dowel in it and then filled it with expandable foam. At the top of the dowel I glues a 4 - 6 inch styrofoam ball. Blew up white balloons to about 4 - 6 inches around, tied them to florist pins and pinned them into the styrofoam ball. The I draped tulle, flowers & ivy in and around the balloons, twisted them down the dowel and covered the expandable foam with floral moss. I created 20 for really cheap. They did take a bit of time, but can be made ahead since the ballons are not filled with helium. Ballons cam in bags of 100 for around $15. Ivy & flowers I got at a dollar store and only used maybe 5 flowers per topiary. The dowling was the most expensive. They stood about 2 feet tall, so everyone at the table could still see around them and under them. They were really cute.

Depends where you from. there is school such as
http://www.internationalfloraldesignschool.com/
and I am sure many schools offer classes to do that. Try to google it online, I am sure you can find a lot of them. If you like it as a habit, you can try to get some books or DVDs. Believe or not, some of them give you enough details to get you started.

Check out your local comunity colege. They will have information on this. If they do not offer the classes they will tell you who would in that area.
