Certainly, in fact the Unitarian churches have many women ministers. I would actually like to see women leading the services in my OLD faith (Catholicism). Women are, by their nature, caregivers and in the beginning of the Chrstian movement, there were many good female leaders of congregations, INCLUDING a very large one in Ephesus, to whom St. Paul (the true founder of christianity). If they could do it then, there is no reason why they can't now.

I would be comfortable with a woman leading a service in any faith, just as I feel comfortable with any woman doing tasks that used to be exclusively a male prerogative.

Just as someone else here said, as a bible leader yes, As a pastor no.
The bible is clear on who is to be a pastor or overseer;
1 Timothy 3
Overseers and Deacons

"1Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer,[a] he desires a noble task. 2Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money."

If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

i was raised in the Church of Christ, and was always taught that women should not lead services. There is a verse somewhere, i forget where that says "Women should be silent in the church".

I dont agree with this tho...the bible says a lot of stuff that just doesnt apply to our society today. it also says women shouldnt cut their hair, or wear jewelry, or leave their heads uncovered, but we dont follow that do we?

I have come to realize that the church of christ is ridiculous.

SO yes, women should be able to lead a church just as men do.

No, I would not be comfortable.

And this has nothing to do with how well they can serve the Lord, or how well they can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with any of their abilities or love for the Lord.

My decision has everything to do with being obedient to the Lord. And the Lord tells us that women are to be silent in Church. I take this to mean that women are not to have spiritual authority - like elders or pastors - over men. Why? Because God said so. Wht did God make Adam before Eve...because He did.

If you love the Lord and He is Lord of your life, you are compelled by gratitude and love to follow His commands.

Yes. It is biblical Acts 18:26 shows a woman teaching a man.

He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately.

Paul said that women are to remain silent. She cannot be a leader in the church, it is against the bible. I think it is like somewhere in Corthinans.
