The new facts that have come to light (Book of Judas for Christians, Mohammed's many marriages to rich women, and his adultry towards his servants' wives), show that both prophets were very human, and probably had moral lapses although they were probably decent humans, and leaders in their own right.

Just the fact that Mohammed's face is never shown (although you can Google for it) and Christ is shown as a Caucasian, not the swarthy Palestine he really was---these mis-statements should make you question everything, should it not? Or is blind faith able to overcome all investigation?

Mohammed did create his religion from his mind and blends of Christanity and Judisim. He never claimed to be perfect.

As for Christianity, the book of Judas was and has never been shown to be a true book of the Bible. It and several others show up from time to time just as they have always done in conspericiy theories which cannot be proven true. It is not fact or has ever been held as one. It's kind of like the Sequal of Gone with the Wind was not written by the author of Gone With the Wind, but someone else. Is the sequal really what Margaret Mitchell wanted? The true Bible should show God's message and his plan throughout. The message of the Bible has not changed or has it been found in error and was not created by organized orders, but over time with several different authors. As for Christ as a White guy, anyone with sense knows better, but that is also why there was so much controversy over The Passion of the Christ. No one wanted to see Christ as a Jew killed at the hands of the Romans by the Jews, but as this white guy killed by the Jews. Not historical! Jesus was a Jew, but we sometimes create Jesus in our own image and not his true likeness. One of the first incidents of this happening was the Roman Catholic's portrayed Jesus as having a beard and at the same time the Eastern Catholics portrayed Jesus as no beard and closer to the Middle Eastern look.

I cannot answer about the Quran, but of the alleged Book of Judas, forget it. Two problems with it. They believe it to be about 1700 years old - which means it couldn't have possibly been written by Judas or his disciples. Secondly, it contradicts the "story" passed down by the living witnesses of the Apostles. There were many books passed by when they were determining the Cannon of the Old Testament. This wasn't done in a vacuum. The Apostles faithfully handed down the faith and it has been kept intact till this day. Any kind of ancient texts that contradicts this, are simply another of the spurious texts.

The idea of the face of Jesus being depicted as Caucasian is disingenuous. People didn't have access to world cultures like we do today. Much of the art is drawn in the style of the people where they lived. That's what a human being looked like to them. You are trying to read in too much between the lines I'm afraid.

Historians and archeologist and various scientists are pretty insistent that the text is original. This is not really a good arguement. I have an Oxford literary commentary on the Bible, and it rarely says there is any ambiguity in the words to be translated.

As profoundly important religious text, they were meticulously copied and sent to far reaches of the earth quickly, which would make any inaccuracy easy to see based on what the rest of the texts of other regions have written.

The appear to be true to the original even if we don't have it.

I can't speak for Islam but I can speak for Christianity. The Bible is not fraudulent. In fact if you lived 1,000 years and studied it every day you would still not know all of it. The Bible is spritually discerned and God speaks through His Word spiritually. Unless you are spiritually reborn, you cannot understand God's Word. Reading the Bible by an unregenerant human would seem as dry as sandpaper and as boring as watching paint dry. That is why the unregenerate are spritually dead. Once a person is born again (John 3:3), The Bible becomes alive and that person feeds on the Word of God and is spirtually fulfilled.

The Book of Judas was written by a certain sect of people around 100AD called Gnostics. Gnostics believe that the spirit is good and the flesh and materialistic part of the earth is evil. Therefore, to find truth you have to look within yourself. They also claim that Jesus was never born phyically on this earth but existed in spirit only. If you read 1 John you can see that the apostle John disputes those that say Christ did not come here in the flesh. If anyone knew Jesus it was John. He was the most beloved of all the apostles. John calls those that deny Christ in the flesh are called antichrists and that there are many of them in the world.

You're right that Jesus is not Caucasian with blue eyes, but would look similar to those living in the middle east, dark hair dark skin dark eyes. The Bible doesn't describe what Jesus physically looked like only that in the book of Isaiah he describes Jesus as a man of sorrows and nothing special to look upon. Nothing to draw our attention to him. Personally I think the Bible doesn't describe Jesus' appearance is because we as humans are so quick to make a graven image to worship. The Israelites were famous for this. They made golden calves and worshiped statues as if they were God himself.

Here is the gospel (good news): God loves his creation (us) so greatly that He became one of his creatures (human) to offer himself as a sacrifice blameless and spotless fulfilling the Law and the Prophets to die in our place suffering what we should suffer for our willful disobedience to God's laws and glory. God the Father poured out His full wrath upon his beloved Son, Jesus Christ for our sins against Him. We deserve that punishment. And God would be just in doing that to us. But He loves us so much that He sacrificed his only begotten son so that if we repent of our sins and trust Jesus to save us we can enter into a relationship with Him and live eternally with God in Heaven.

I don't know why people won't repent of their sins and trust in Jesus. God did everything He could to make it so easy to be forgiven. I guess people love their sins more than God. And that is so sad.

I think that you mean the Gospel of Judas. I have read most of it, and it comes across as another Gnostic gospel. If you are believing that story over the one in the bible, then I suppose that you have made your choice.

I don't have to, but then I do love God, do you?
