God said; "here are these naughty humans, here is the earth, go at them with all you want, you'll probably get the upper hand, if they are tested but still believe in me, they go to heaven, if not, they are all yours".
Why would God do that? Supposing he did create Satan and give him the earth and hell just for us, and supposing Satan is the ruler of his own spiritual realm given to him by God, that is, assuming God actually MADE hell,
Then is that what life is really all about? God and Satan bargaining for human mammals souls?
I mean, I know God has a lot of time on his hands but, sheesh.

And if he did create Satan, why doesn't he just take him away?

Is the most important thing to God to 'see' whether the human mammals have been naughty or nice? And employ a spiritual ruler to take care of the suffering, tormenting and punishing part?

this question involves a lot of patience and understanding from your part!
yes God created all things!but was that the real purpose of it all?that is the question!i will call satan, Lucifer, to give it more clarity. He was a servant of God and was given an asignment to guide human beigns in the development of their intellect!Lucifer fell in his mission because he himself chose another path to go about this given duty.he speeded up the whole process because he wanted it done quickly so therefore it became a matter of prompting.these, human beigns fell for it easily and as such we easily succumb to the promptings of the intellect.this is the real cause of the fall of lucifer!he chose his own path instead of the path dictated by th Almighty!now human beigns have been left vulnerable to promptings of the intellect!
it was at this point that he was cast out,not out of heaven because he was already here with us to help!now he became stuck, stuck here with us!and since he has now fallen,he proceeded on his own chosen path which humans had already fallen for.this is how most of us got stuck with him.
we on the other hand, also fell because we gave in easiliy to the promptings of the intellect!this is the the real fall of man!nothing else.
now God in His infinite goodness now Had to intervene, that is why He keeps sending messengers from on-high!but we will not give ears to none of them!lucifer seems to be winning the battle, but not for long.his reign will end when the kingdom of God comes,he will be put in chains and be cast away for eternity.
remember, nothing can oppose God in His proximity!it is impossible!lucifer could't have even thought of it in heaven!no way!
since satan had been cut from the supply of power from God,in normal and natural sense.he would have faded into nothingness, but we humans became his source of power, anybody who fell for the promptings of the intellect automatically was feeding him with power, remember he is from the divine realm and as such a powerful arch angel.Christ himmself did not banish lucifer!he knew only the will of God,the Executive justice, the coming of the son of man can!as such,no human beign can banish him!at best,we can only avoid him or push him aside untill prophesy is fulfilled.
HIS MAJOR TOOL IS THE INTELLECT!BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

Okay um you're probably gonna get different answers on this one...I'm only 14 but here's my opinion.... who says God and Satan own half of humans? God created people with a choice, they either choose God or Satan. God doesn't hate anybody, not even atheists, agnostics, or deists, he loves everybody, it says so in the Bible.... as for the stuff about Why can't God just destroy Satan and all that, nobody really knows, but God has a plan.... well that's what I believe so please don't start hatin and cursin at me just because I have an opinion

Satan was not created as Satan. He was an angel named Lucifer who decided to rebel, recruited some other angels and tried to do a takeover on God. He Lost and was kicked out of Heaven and God's presence. Hell was the place created for Satan and his rejects. Satan wants us to join him there where God never intended us to be. It was a love choice. How do you know if someone loves you the best? When giving an alternate choice they always choose you no matter what is presented. Because we have some free will in this choice, some of us choose the temporary riches and temptations that Satan or the world offers us instead of choosing God. God still paid the price for our sins through Jesus and gave it to us as a free gift to accept the payment for our sins and be with God forever. Just live Eve, some of us choose the world's or Satan's way and don't choose God.

But the greater question is who to say there Really is a God and Satan? Maybe it is something that was simply made up. Much like the Greek gods. When we look back into history most religions that have been created worshiped a god that never existed like the Egyptians and Ra, the god of the sun. So why has the Christian beliefs remained so long? Maybe it has something to do with control, maybe it's a deeper meaning.

Satan was banished from Heaven (to Hell/Earth) including his evil followers (us).

Revelation --
12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (Lucifer); and the dragon fought and his angels,
12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out to the earth, and his angels (you - Luke 9:55) were cast out with him (Matthew 25:41).

This is a reform-school for us to go back to Heaven, Satan in his incredible arrogance refused to submit to human-limitations (so he can learn to be good) so God decided to spare him so he can function as a test. The reason Satan has so much power is because he is not inside a human-animal-body (+ that we are giving him power by listening to him) like we are.

Satan was God's highest ranking angel..The Arch Angel. Satan was very musical talented and he got to the point where he wanted to take over Heaven. But he was kicked out of Heaven taking 1/3 of the angels with him to earth.

That a bit deep...but here how it goes...Satan was a Angel that God had favored. Satan got full of himself and started a Rebellion against God. God knick him out of Heaven. Satan is allowed to recruit and Rules those who don't believe...

We Human have free-will and God allows US to choose...he is like any father...you raise your children, then you let go and let him decide Right from Wrong. We human aren't Robots, programmed to go one way or another...We must decide.

There needs to be opposition in all things. We are here to gain free will and choose which path we will take. Satan will not win in the end.
