The Lord shared with me the other day the importance of judging ourselves. Sin was judged the very first day it arrived in the Garden of Eden. The judgment of sin is death. If we cleave to sin eventually we will receive the reward which is death. Gods mercy is the only thing that keeps us from it. In 1Corinthians 11:31, God tells us to judge ourselves and then we will not be judged. He told me when we judge ourselves we nullify the judgment that is against us. I heard Brother Copeland say once that he does this every morning. When we do this we are walking in the Spirit of Life. For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. What is your opinion?

Good question. As Christians, there is therefore now no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus who walk not in the flesh, but in the spirit. But if we confess our sins, the Lord is faithful to forgive us. And to those who don't know Jesus, I might add that the Lord knows our every thought, word, and deed, so paying lip service will not work. Only the grace of God, thought the finished work of the cross can save us. Then true repentance will become evident in our lives.

Grace and Peace

That is exactly what we are supposed to do, look at ourselves every morning, and take the things that are not right with God and climb up on the cross and crucify the flesh once again.

"If we cleave to sin eventually we will receive the reward which is death"???? Hate to tell you and burst your little bubble but you will eventually die regardless. You will never be free from death so stop your egotism and sense of denial. You are no better than any other person on this planet, regardless of their religious or non-religious beliefs.

I do ask the Lord to show me my sin, so that I can know when I have sinned- thus the Holy Spirit convicts me. And I ask forgiveness...yes we should always humble ourselves before the Lord. "God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble" James 4:6

And as the Bible also says, He is faithful to forgive our sins, everytime we seek His forgiveness, even though we are forgiven through Him, we are to still repent each time we fall short. -To know that we have sinned and confess it- that is why it is Good to ask the Lord to show us our sin in our lives.

It is a good idea to "judge" our actions. That's usually why we must ask for forgiveness right away. Running to God and not away.

When we mess up, we need to fess up. Mend the relationship and move forward in His grace and His love.
