How do I get two different color backgrounds on one slide in Powerpoint?

I make a box the same size as the slide and then go to format autoshape. Under colors and lines go to fill and select fill effects. Select two colors and then go through the other options to get what you want!

*You go on format
*scroll down to background
*then this thing somes up you
*scroll down to fill effect
*click on the circle for two colours
*chose which two colours that you want
