Why do guys buy there girlfriends presents they don't think they'll like? I don't understand this. My boyfriend recently told me he doesn't know if I'll like my present.

He wanted you to say that it doesn't matter what he bought...you will love it because he put the time and effort and his money in showing he cares.!!!!

Rea he might be telling you You are hard to please and he might not have it right. So he is fishing for some idea of what would be right. At least he is trying Guys are dumb when it comes to knowing what to buy. Give him some help, but make it clear, they do not take hints well unless they are gay and in touch with the other side of their brains. Just give him 4 or 5 choices of something you really want and let him decide which one. This is good practice for you as husbands never get it right otherwise.

They always buy things they think you'll like. They are just insecure and scared that you might not like it. He is covering himself in case you really don't like it. If my boyfriend bought me a hideous ring that he thought I would love and he thought would look beautiful on me ... I would love it and wear it with pride. Some girls aren't like that. Some would say... Why did you think I would like this hideous ring? Leaving the boyfriend to feel just awful. What ever it is that he is giving you ... no matter what it is ... it is from the heart and you should tell him that when ever he lets you know that he doesn't think you will like it.

He;s just trying to please you and we are complex as women. I had to give my husband a list of the exact stuff and the number codes of some of those things in the past because the purse had to be a certain one or the makeup was a certain color or whatever it was. A guy likes something and usually it's pretty easy to understand what it is like a drill or something for his car. We are so much more complex and picky as women.

Wholly not awkward. Think of it as like a complete compliment that she desires u to purchase her sumthing like that, thats so cool. And if u purchase her anything hawt, and u get to see her in it, even higher! Jus go along with it, i completely had a saweet time buying stuff like that for my ex. Commonly the ladies working there r hawt to which makes it was less difficult and you are going to entirely benefit from the entire gift buying thing. Kyle

Well if you told him exactly what you wanted then it would not be a surprise would it.... I believe that he is making a sincere effort to buy you something the he hopes you want since he wants to surprise you....

In any case you can return it if you don't like it....

It's not that at all. Us men say "we don't think you'll like it" because we feel inferior when picking and just need that reassurance that we did in fact pick out something good. We are just looking for an ego stroke.

so the girlfriend can nag about it, which will cause an arguemen......then the guy would say....."see, i buy you something and you dont even appreciate it"........so they have the reason take it back and get their money back.... or give it to someone else....also, the guys are so into themselves, that they dont even know what their girls likes and dislikes......INCONSIDERATE is the word for it...

Cause what we are really doing is buying a gift we like so when you don't like it we can use it. Like video games and whatnots.

Maybe they suck at gift buying like me. No matter what I get someone, they never like it. I tell em regift if you don't like it. I try, I really do. I ask people what they want they don't tell me. I suck at buying gifts, I really do.
