Sounds like jock rash to me. Basically it's a fungus and like all funguses loves warm damp places. Probably has nothing to do with you having intercourse, it's just a coincidence. It could be caused either by a virus or by a yeast infection. Really he needs to see a doctor to find out which as the treatment is different. Meanwhile he can eleviate the symptoms by keeping the area as clean and dry as possible, not always easy.

In my experience (well my husband's experience) doctors tend to be quite dismissive of this type of thing. If he doesn't get help clearing it up get him to insist. Guys get a bit embarrassed about that sort of thing but it is extremely common and not generally serious though it's not very comfortable. It's also infectious so wash any parts have have come into contact with it.

It sounds like a sweat rash, and should go down after a couple of days, keep it clean and dry and put some talc on it. If it doesn't go down in a couple of days then it might be a fungal skin infection, in which case you need some cream from the doctor. You guys must have been havin some steamy stuff...

did you use a condom? seriously many many people are illergic to the latex used in condoms and have to use latex free ones.

if its not that and its in between his legs rather than on his genitals then its probably a heat rash, common when skin gets sweaty and rubs against something - get some calomine solution from your pharmacist or give him some anti histamine tablets - it will go away.

if its on his penis then its probably thrush. you may have it and not know the dormant fungus is there but it can react with someone else differntly. get to the pharmacy for some cream.

Possibly a reaction to some product you have used or changed recently, waxing product? Or maybe one of his and during your activity he gets hot the sweat glands open and the irritation takes place then within the skin.
But I would of thought this is a question for a doctor not Yahoo answers?
Good luck.

Sounds like a simple sweat rash. Maybe if you posted some photo's we could all have a look and maybe provide you with a more accurate answer.

The sweat and rubbing made the rash and it hurts like hell.
Its short term nothing serious. Just get a soothing gel for sensitive skin.
Good luck!

Could it be a heat rash?

When you we're making love perhaps all the lubrication and friction caused a heat rash?

Sometimes when you have sex you get a red rash on your chest - but this isn't itchy.

Hmm..... I would go with hear bumps/rash.

Sounds like a yeast infection aka jock itch. He should use an antifungal cream to clear it up. He can use either athletes foot cream, jock itch cream or a vaginal yeast infection cream as they are the same. Buy what ever is cheapest.

If it itches and its red then most likely solution is an allergy.
It could be to a skin product of yours or any other intimate product you and he use. It could be skin lotion, change of condom brand, hair removal lotion you use or other hair products.

Sound slike allergy. Piriton will get rid of discomfort.
