Over time, it will damage your hair. Always use a protector on your hair before flat ironing. I use biosilk silk therapy on my hair after I wash it. Also, use a good flat iron. I use a professional one (you can get one through your hair stylist). I use the Chi flat iron. I absolutely love it. I've been straightening my hair for about 5 years now.

It does damage your hair. Any kind of heat styling causes damange, but flatirons are the worst because they're so direct.
You can take good care of your hair by avoiding products that dry it out, only brushing it when it is dry (wet hair is more delicate), and not washing it any more often than you need to.

Use a straightener...It does damage your hair, but there's this gel you can get to put on your hair, normally right after you get out of the shower, then when you use the straightener it doesn't damage as much...Curling irons and blow dryers can do the same damage to your hair too!! Hope I helped!!

any heat on your hair is bad for it the best way to have healthy hair is to take vitamin b6 and when you wash it let it dry naturally never brush it or put it up while wet that leads to split ends and drying, ironing, and straightening your hair will only dry it out and it will get stiff and frizzy. love your locks!

Yes, any heated tools you use can damage your hair. It's a good idea to apply a product that will protect your hair before you use any of those heated tools.

Yes it will dry your hair. If you want to use it regulary, it'll help to apply a hair moisturiser/leave in conditioner before u use it.
Will prevent the drying out a little.

It depends on your hair type. I am mixed and have african-american hair and my two daughters have their father's hair (he is Puerto-Rican, German, Dutch, and French). What works for my hair definetly does not work for their hair and vice versa.

don't iron it. straighteners are the best way to go, but don't do it a lot. it fries your hair, and so do blowdryers.
