Call the state licensing board.

You have to been licensed to practice medicine in the US. Ask to see her medical ID. You can go to your state web site and check for state licenses. It will tell you what medical school that they finished from, the year, if they have any mal practice law suits. The link below is for the state of California. I knew of someone that was telling people that he was a doctor, and he was working at a hospital in the laboratory(bathroom). He had girls picking him up after-work, and he would come out with the full gear that a doctor wears. Some people are always trying to impress people.

ask her some questions like where she went to college, medical school and where she did her residency. ask her what she specializes in, then ask her specific questions relating to that type of medicine. for example, if she is a general practioner ask her how she can tell the difference between a cold/virus and a sinis infection/bacterial, then ask her what tests she would perform to find out... how old is she? is she old enough to have done 4 years of college, 3 years of medical school and 3 years of residency? she would have to be atleast 28 years old. where is her office? call her office and ask for her by using the prefix doctor before her first and last name.
