I have creams and shampoos and oils, am taking vitamin A ..I am a diabetic ...when my blood sugar runs High I itch and scale....it calms down when I eat right..is there a Permanent Cure?

I wish! I have psoriasis as well. You really just have to wait for it to go into remission. Mine lasted about a year and was covering almost my entire body. Sometimes it was painful to wear clothes. The only thing that really made a difference with me was the tanning bed. I went like 3 days a week for 10 minutes at a time. True since I'm a red head I'll probably have skin cancer now, but it was worth it. I still used the gels and creams to keep it from flaking and keep it smooth, but the tanning bed really helped and also relaxed me so it would subside. I still get out breaks and have a few spots that never go away. Hang in there, it can get better on it's own. And the man who finds a cure will be my hero!

I had a 13 year history of psoriasis, though I was in good health otherwise. But these severe large, thick and scaly excoriated plaques on my neck, ears, trunk and limbs ruined the way I was leading my life. I would be with red, inflamed itchy skin for most part of the year and these silvery scales would seem to be erupting without any reason. To make matters worse, blisters would appear over already red and itching skin. It was living hell.

I was treated with various options but nothing seemed to be working. There isn't a cure for it, unfortunately. I have guttate psoriasis and honestly, you just need to go to a dermatologist. I was prescribed a wonderful cream for mine and I haven't had an outbreak in over a year. Also, hydrocortizone creams such as Cortizone-10 works wonders for me and other people I know with this condition. Cortizone-10 is something you can get at any drugstore for like $5. It might help you. Getting some sun also helps relieve psoriasis. I've always been a very pale, indoors-y person, but during an outbreak, I decided to bottle up my self-conciousness and go out to the pool (i hated it because my stomach was covered in spots) but it was worth it and it relieved the spots immediately. And don't scratch :) You don't want to scar!

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/CurePsoriasis2015Hfp0 everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

There is no permanent cure, but there are many products to control the symptoms depending upon where the psoriasis is located on your body. For example, if on the scalp try using Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo.

It sounds like you are doing the right things (eating right to prevent a breakout), but maybe you should get prescription-strength cream from your doctor.

Psoriasis can go into remission, but there is no cure for it, only treatments. See a dermatologist, not a general practioner since he/she will know what the most effective 'new' treatments are. Perhaps you would respond to one of these therapies better than you are responding to creams, shampoos and oils.

I guess you know what psoriasis is. The over acting of new skin cells as they are replaced by new skin cells.
Being diabetic, I would see a dermatologist. No there is no permenant cure.
Sounds like you have answered your own question. Just eat right. Which is really important anyway for all of us.

I have eczema, which is a cousin to psoriasis. I take Biotin, it is a vitamin for you hair, skin and nails, it helps. And I use a dermatologist recommended lotion called Eucerin. I have a friend who has psoriasis and she uses an prescribed antibiotic for it and shampoo...there is no cure though.
