I'm doing my taxes here in Florida and for the year 2006 my husband and I worked at a job where we were paid salary plus commission. Do we include the commission as earnings also? If I do it shows I owe the IRS. I've never owed them before. We will file married filing jointly and we have no kids. Any Tax advice anyone?

Your W-2s should include both your salary and your commission, so you won't have a choice but to include it.

You might want to look into whether or not you had employee business expenses (Form 2106).

Yes, commissions are taxable the same as salary.

Do you own a house? If so, mortgage interest is deductable along with property taxes, charitable donations, medical expenses, etc).
