If he is anything of a gentleman he would be walking you to your car opening the car door for you and making sure that everything is OK with the car before you drive off Some guys have not been trained to treat a lady with respect and honor but that also goes for some woman they do not know how to appreciate a good man when he comes around

Wow, that is pretty messed up. I have been walking my "dates" to the car since I was 12 years old. I even know that. Now I am 17, but anyways you can't really do anything about the situation. He probably doesn't even know he is doing anything wrong. The best thing to do is go on with life and just walk yourself to the door. If it really bothers you during your next date when you start walking to your car jokingly say "Thanks for walking me to my door" and laugh. Hopefully he gets the hint. If not then you just have to ignore the fact that he is the type of guy that doesn't walk his date to her door.

Good luck,

-Taylor

He's not a man.....all the men I know would walk a woman to her car. Actually they wouldn't have you drive your own car...they would pick you up.
Get rid of him...

ask him to walk with you to his car. i asked my boyfriend to don't be rude and to wait until he sees me go inside my house until he drives off. he always does that now . who knows maybe someone culd be hiding in the car or something like taht. if it's lonely especially yeah, he should wailk you, if he seems weird about it get rid of him. if not tell him, you'll like him to walk you or walk with you to your car.

Date someone with manners who is considerate enough to at least be concerned about your safety.

i don't see this as a big problem. you should ask him to walk you to your car next time and i'm sure he'll oblige. he probably doesn't see this as a big issue as you do.

Grow up and don't be a pansy about it. These are the sort of things guys do to see how you react (think of it as a test). We want to see how you'll react...

But then again... maybe he's just not that into you?

Remind him that men used to do those things without being prompted. Guys don't seem to know that stuff anymore.
