dads are mostly underrated.... On the whole they can be very wonderful creatures to have in your life... many dads who have lost contact with their kids wish and hope they will contact them when they are old enough to do so...
Dads do rock... I have met some great dads in my life but sadly none of the good ones was mine..
from personal experience I would sit me mum down and ask why they broke up....... if she doesnt want to talk about it tell her you are thinking of meeting him one day but you want to know that you will be safe when you do....
My mum never told me how violent and abusive my father was...... I went looking for him and found out the hard way...

Well unless you are planning to have a relationship with him or something of the sort I wouldn't do anything. The meaning of dad or father is the one who supports you cares for you is there for you through thick and thin and when things go bad he's the shoulder you cry on and when things go great he's the one who the most proud of you. He loves you no matter what. Just because the both of you don't share the same DNA doesn't mean he's NOT your DAD. So the one you don't know may be your father through genetics but nothing more and if you what to know him find him and if not let it be.

Just take a little time to think of a different perspective. I wish I had a man around to call dad. Be grateful you could have the opportunity to have two of them. I am 32 years old and it still bothers me that I don't have a dad. So, unknown or not, just be thankful for what you have.

Depending on how old you are, if you are over the age of 25, I would say write him off. You made it that far without him. If you have a step dad or someone like that who has put in time and effort to raise you and love you, pour all your caring onto him and don't stress over someone you do not even know.
At least that is how I would treat it.

I think that you should find out what he is like from your family. If he sounds like a good dude then maybe he is worth finding. But don't make the "daddy" you already have feel bad . Good luck.

Evidentially your biological father is a weak, sad, twisted, coward who cares for no one other than himself. Here's what you should do:
Knock him out with a lead pipe and proceed to tie him securely to an immovable object. When he comes to whip out your butchers knife and proceed to disembowel him (wear earplugs in order to drain out his whinny, distorted screams). Once you have done this force-feed him his entrails and leave him to die.

I think you should buy him a tie. Dads dig those kinds of gifts.
