Anywhere tropical, equatorial or in the southern hemisphere will provide the sun! As for relaxation it depends upon what relaxes you. Personally I like museums, galleries, tea houses and ancient ruins. Some people prefer nightlife and beaches.
I would recommend getting brochures from Thomas Cook (or similar) as these will give you lots of examples.
Tasmania is wonderful this time of year (if you can afford the flights).
Oh a good tip - fly home between Christmas and New Year - the flights are usually a lot cheaper than just after New Year because many people like to spend New Year away. You could save several hundred pounds.
I am off to Spain on Friday - I think it might not be sunny there so I am taking a few books!
Anyway where ever you choose have a great holiday and a great Christmas. Remember to send postcards!

The Canary Islands are known for being the sunlight heart of Europe! See this sunlight with hotelbye . Canary Islands offer a gentle temperatures and a selection of remarkable organic attractions. Five of their eight islands have now been reported a Biosphere Reserve, and the archipelago has four national parks. Probably the most exceptional attractions in Canary Islands would be the beaches because they are only perfect for enjoyable in the sun or enjoying water sports such as for instance windsurfing and scuba diving. In Canary Islands you may also be impressing by the interior attraction like: hiking, cycle touring, hiking and actually caving. Some of the very magnificent attractions of Canary Islands are: the volcanic landscape of Lanzarote, the beaches of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria making use of their sand dunes, or the natural woods of La Palma and La Gomera.

Go on websites like www.selloffvacations.com and look for last minute deals (or search engine for last minute vacations) where you will save tons of money and just look for somewhere appealing to you. I just came back from Dominican (Punta Cana) and that is one of my favorite places.... best white sand beaches, great people and service, always warm and sunny (85 degrees average at this time of year). I understand that you want to go away... I want to go away again . I hope you find something and enjoy, and have a great Holiday season.

The only place guaranteed the sun this time of year is one of the canary islands but you'll pay alot for it as its become quite popular nowadays.

Fly to the Bahamas....Paradise Island. Its a little pricey but its worth the money. Try to do all inclusive if you can. The food, service, scenery, hotel is amazing. Its a trip I would do again without hesitation.
